Art Educator. Innovator. YouTuber.

Hello! My name is Alexia, The art teacher for Highlands Elementary and content creator for Traveling Art Room on YouTube and Teachers Pay Teachers. As an artist and certified K-12 Art Teacher, I specialize in printmaking, painting, illustration, and process art. After school I work for a non-profit organization that tutors ELL Students in reading and writing and during the summers I teach various summer camps for Bonita Springs Center For The Arts. Being a mother, art teacher, and YouTuber my life can get a little hectic however, I always make time to travel and bring rich experiences back to my classroom.  As a curriculum developer and content creator, I constantly research innovative practices in art education to create original art projects that encourage self-discovery and imaginative thinking. Through incorporating multiple disciplines and technology my students can relate to content and access it on YouTube from their own home. I truly believe art is for everyone and I use YouTube as a platform to provide art instruction beyond my classroom to encourage parental involvement and student engagement.
